Cialis (Tadalafil) is once-a-day (4-hourly-per-dose) medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It works by inhibiting the function of the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which is responsible for breaking down a substance called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) into two phosphodiesteruates. When a man is sexually stimulated, the body releases the rush of blood which causes the smooth muscles of the penis to relax, which increases the blood flow and allows for a firmer, longer-lasting erection. Cialis has a slightly longer duration of action, with a higher duration of effect for some men. It can work for up to 36 hours, which is why Cialis is commonly referred to as the long-lasting effects of tadalafil.
Tadalafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction and symptoms of BPH, making it one of the most common ED medications available. It is also used to treat symptoms of premature ejaculation, as it will not affect the ejaculation process.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia, also called prostate enlargement, is the non-cancerous growth of the prostate gland.
Tadalafil contains ‘Tadalafil’, which works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis; this allows the blood to flow into the penis when the person is sexually excited.
